HOW I WORK

My preferred medium is PanPastel, a unique artist's pastel introduced in 2007. For monochrome works, I combine PanPastels with graphite. These highly pigmented, soft pastels are applied from pans, similar to eyeshadow, using specialized applicators. This allows for a vibrancy and control exceeding traditional pastel sticks or pencils. I often integrate pastel pencils and occasionally color pencils to achieve fine details on sanded pastel paper, a specially coated surface designed for optimal pastel adhesion.
My technique involves color blocking rather than layering, preserving color purity and preventing muddiness. This approach allows me to achieve a softness and level of detail difficult to attain with other mediums.
Artwork is shipped unframed, but protected for safe transit. Professional framing under glass or plexiglass is required, and I strongly recommend using at least one, preferably two, mats to prevent contact with the artwork. To ensure longevity, avoid displaying the piece in direct sunlight.
While I primarily work in standard sizes for client convenience and framing affordability, custom sizes are available upon request.
